Menu Bar
The menu bar is the thin strip at the top of the screen with words in it. The words are titles, each of which contain a list of commands that can be performed. To use the menu bar:
- Click on a word in the menu bar.
- A vertical list (sometimes called a drop down list), will appear with the names of functions you can perform.
- Click on the name of the command you want to perform.
- The function should be performed unless another vertical list appears to the right. If so, click on the name of the function in this list that you want to perform and it will be performed.
Contents of the Menu Bar
The menu bar contains the following categories: File, View, Display, Standards, Options, Adjust Colors, Tools, Print and Help. When a title is chosen, a vertical list of commands will appear. In the rest of this chapter, we will fully explain each of the titles and their associated commands.
