How To: Print using Windows Vista 64-bit Version
These instructions are for those who use Cabinet Solutions on a computer with Windows Vista 64-bit version. To find out if you are using 32-bit or 64-bit, click on the Windows Icon at the lower left hand bottom of your screen and in the field marked "Search", type in the command "winver" (do not include the quote marks) and press enter. This will tell you the version of Windows you are using.
To print from Cabinet Solutions, follow the instructions below. If you have any questions, call Technical Support at 209-836-4077.
- Download and install CutePDF Writer, which is a free PDF printing program and can be found at http://cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp.
- In Cabinet Solutions, click on Print, then Printer Setup to select your printer. Select CutePDF Writer as your printer.
- After you select your printer, anything you print in Cabinet Solutions will be saved as a PDF file to your computer (you tell Windows where to save the file to. Please make sure you remember where you are saving the files to).
- After you print out all of the files that you want to be printed on paper, go to wherever it is that you saved the files and double click on them to open them using whatever PDF reading software you have installed. If you do not have any installed, Adobe Reader is a free program for reading them and is located on the Adobe website at www.adobe.com. Once the file is open, you can print that file from the program normally and it should send it to your printer.
An added benefit of having CutePDF installed is you can email your clients the PDF files that you printed.
